Chanel 57th Street Flagship
57th Street, New York, NY
Peter Marino has been designing Chanel boutiques and stores for over a quarter of a century – each unique, and each requiring the same level of meticulous detail as the Chanel brand’s iconic creations
For this flagship location, we designed, engineered, and built a monumental, four-story cantilever staircase with vein-matched Bianco Sivec – creating an iconic focal point.
For all Chanel stores, we meticulously source and digitally vein-match the client’s preferred range of Grey Wave for all flooring and install with precise tolerances – accounting for the inset carpet compression and millwork displays. We also applied those same principles to the Onyx floor and wall panels in the all-stone water closets.
Scope: Furnish, fabricate and install ¾” thick Bianco Sivec marble cut to size for a monumental 4-story cantilevered staircase and stair wall panels. Furnish, fabricate and install custom cut-to-size and vein-matched gray wave marble and black absolute granite flooring. Waterjet gray wave to fit and install brass strips. Float carpet substrate and install custom polished stainless steel transition strips. Install marble base molding.
