All too often, stone selection starts with outdated samples or the limited inventory in one supplier’s stone yard. We take a broader approach, working with you to define the precise veining, color range, dimensions and quantities, whether for a reception desk, a jewel box bathroom, or a multi-year retail program. From our network of global and local suppliers, we then identify the ones best suited to provide the right material that meets all of your requirements - including your schedule.

We provide critical logistical and technical support as the project moves forward. When needed, we make sure an ongoing supply consistent with the design intent will be available for future projects - saving you time by continuously sourcing stone ahead of your schedule.

Once your site is demoed, we take a precise survey of floor heights on a tight grid to create an accurate benchmark and fully document conditions of the raw space​. We analyze the substrate for visible defects, confirm all dimensions, and share that information with the other trades.

We are on site again once the track work and framing are installed, confirming all wall locations, column locations, and other elements, identifying any discrepancies between site conditions and construction drawings, and recording as-built conditions for our shop drawings. ​Every finding from our survey is then put into a document that highlights substantial variations. This gives the project team time to review and adjust, before any further work is impacted.​

Vein-matching is both an art and a science. Our StoneVision technology takes this to the highest level of precision. Each of your slabs is scanned in high resolution, with targets for our saws. The slabs are evaluated for design intent - precisely matching adjacent stone pieces for pattern, vein, and tone to the specifications and requirements of the job. The digital images are then overlaid onto our shop drawings, allowing you to review the exact placement of each piece of stone and a near-finished view of your space, long before the material is on site.

Once we have your approval, we’re ready to fabricate. Our saws cut from specific coordinates determined by the StoneVision digital targets - ensuring that each piece is cut to our exact specification for its corresponding final location. The high level of accuracy and data we have generated up to this point means we cut and fabricate more in the shop, with far greater precision. This leads to minimal field cutting and less time on site - a valuable benefit for your schedule.

With the bulk of your materials cut and ready to install, we double-confirm the benchmark and ceiling height, chalk out placement to match our shop drawings, and number each space to its corresponding piece of stone. From there our team hums along with great precision and care until the job is done.
